Josh Kaspar is a senior in high school about to embark into the rest of his life. As he prepares to part ways with us MAS folks, he leaves us with some words for us to cherish as we worry about his onward departure into the unknown, the first frontier.
In ten years he sees himself being a graphic designer hopefully working in the industry. He plans to maintain his sanity throughout his lifetime, even when he’s eighty-five. “I think it would be a great goal to still be important in my grandkid/great-grandchild’s lives at that age.” Josh dislikes any question regarding his height: “I need a card that I can hand out that says ‘Yes, I am 6’2”. No, I don’t play basketball. Yes, the weather is great up here.”
Josh has had a lot of great moments at MAS, finding it difficult to pick just one for his favorite. “It seems every week is something new and crazier than last week is happening!” High school taught him a lot about book smarts, but the most valuable piece of wisdom he gained is "to just be yourself. It sounds sappy but it's true: Just be yourself. Don’t pretend to be someone else.” His best advice for rising seniors is, “Don’t ignore your deadlines, whether it’s college applications, math homework, or anything else. Procrastination, fun as it is, doesn’t help the ol’ GPA.” And of course, if Josh had to be trapped in a TV show, he would pick The Walking Dead. “A zombie apocalypse would be terrifying, but a constant adrenaline rush.”
You will be missed Josh!
